TJAŠA FABJANČIČ

Tjaša Fabjančič studied jazz voice at the University for music and dramatic arts Graz, Austria and at the Amsterdam Conservatoire. She is semifinalist of the Brussels International Singers Competition in 2008, a year later she won the 1st prize of the jury at the Slovenian composition competition Jazzon in Novo mesto for her piece Smeh in solze. Her jazz quintet Playgrounds was awarded several prizes at European jazz-bands competitions and released three albums with original music. The first album Traveling was released in 2009 in the jazz series of the ORF label, followed by the second album Circles two years later on the Viennese label Sessionwork Records. Her last album Pripovedi/Erzählungen/Tales was released in 2013.
